An Evening of Gratitude

An Evening of Gratitude (EOG) is an annual Manna event during which we express our gratitude to everyone connected to Manna and all they do to help us serve those in need in the North Penn region and across Montgomery County. It is our pleasure to publicly thank our volunteers (including Board and committee members), food donors (individual, corporate, and others), and financial donors (including individuals, corporations/businesses, faith-based orgs, foundations, and community organizations).

After deciding to discontinue smaller ‘thank you’ events focused on specific constituency groups such as volunteer or our faith-based partners, it was decided to shift to one main elevated event to thank everyone. Our first EOG event was held in May 2019.

A typical EOG event includes food prepared by Manna’s culinary team and our Common Grounds trainees and a brief program in which we highlight a Manna program, honor the latest Manna Champion awardee, hear a brief keynote message, and share a story or two to help everyone feel connected to all we do at Manna. The first EOG in 2019 also included live music, ample time for attendees to mingle and catch up with one another, and also attendee gifts of a Manna-branded shopping cart squishy and a live, food-producing starter plant in a biodegradable pot that was ready to go into the ground. Due to COVID-19, we cancelled our 2020 event. But we are ready to, once again, express our gratitude through A (Virtual) Evening of Gratitude, to be held via Zoom on Thursday, June 10, 2021. If you currently receive our e-newsletters or our volunteer emails, you will receive your EOG invitation. If you support Manna and are not on those lists, you can sign up here. Stay tuned for more info!
